South African Child Gauge 2025

We’re proud to announce that Sesame Workshop South Africa’s case study on the Male Caregiver Evaluation and the “Bond Through Play” campaign is featured in the Child Gauge 2025 report (see p. 103)! This recognition highlights our commitment to deepening the role of fathers and male caregivers in early childhood development through play.

Co-authored by Mari Payne, Fathima Rawat, Erika Jooste, and Bheki Khoza, the case study explores our Male Caregiver Evaluation and the impact of the Bond Through Play social media campaign. Being included in Child Gauge underscores the importance of engaging men in caregiving and demonstrates the collective impact that ECD practitioners, communities, and families can achieve when working together.
